Kadin Ahfuni – Customer Relationship Manager and Team Leader at Panthera Finance

What position are you in now, and what led you to where you are today?
Today, I am a Customer Relationship Manager and Team Leader in the Banking and Finance Department. I started my career eight years ago in June 2012 as a Collections officer. Not long after joining Panthera, I was selected to join the first Banking and Finance team in September 2012. I became a Team Leader in 2014 and learnt a new set of skills with regards to communication, conflict resolution, performance management, and dealing with sensitive issues.
In August 2016, I was asked if I would like to help open a new office at the Gold Coast, and I was there for a 12-month period establishing our second office location on Marine Parade. Here, I became more involved in the onboarding process – I was completing induction training for new starters, as well as providing ongoing training for existing staff in the office. I returned back to the Brisbane office July 2017 to continue leading a team in the Banking and Finance Department. I also get the opportunity to stand in on Operations Manager positions when they are available.
What made you want to join Panthera Finance?
To be honest, I just wanted full time employment. I was 19 and didn’t really know what I wanted to do for work, and so I applied. I am glad I did! The last 8 years has been challenging but extremely rewarding. I’ve grown professionally and personally, and I’ve made some very strong relationships that I will always cherish.
How has Panthera Finance supported your development journey?
Panthera Finance has provided the opportunity to study a Certificate IV Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV Leadership and Management while working full time. I’ve also attended one day workshops in management for career development.
Do you have any career aspirations for the future?
I would like to continue my journey in Panthera Finance by securing an Operations Manager role.
